Maama Ruth Cries no More

In Luweero district Bamunanika town council Ndyalumu village is where we found  Ruth  a 69 years old she lost her sight at the age of 30! Ruth suffered from a serious eye infection that caused the loss of her 2 eyes. Ekirooto mission found her sleeping alone in that faulty house with one part fallen down already. She narrated to us a sad story of how she was surviving in that house alone and also told us that she survived rape several times because the house had already fallen down the drug addicts wanted to take that advantage to sexually abuse her but she always tried much to protect her self by screaming and calling for a back up from the neighbours! The project took 6 months to be completed because we did not get enough funds in time so the little we managed to fundraise from the members also came in bits. It took us 6.8 million to finish the project.
