Ekirooto Mission Rescued Mr Kaloli Mafandara

To you it may seem to be unbelievable for any human  to survive in the forest, It was on 8th/ 04/ 2021 when a Ekirooto mission recieved a call from a local native who had followed us on our local and online platforms letting us know about a 75 years old man who had spent over 10 years sleeping in a jungle of  Lugeye village, Kakiri town council Wakiso district.

He had built a small grassed shelter which he  couldn’t fit in, it is believed that Mr Kaloli lost all the family members and relatives during the liberation wars in Uganda. Trying to survive desperately he moved to different places looking for settlements and comfort but all in vain. He ended up finding a forest where he called a home with a new family of monkeys as the relatives.

Ekirooto mission managed to rescue him but he was found in a  very critical condition, he was taken to hospital first and then we rented a better shelter, this time with humans as the neighbours as we are planning to build for him a permanet settlement or shelter.

As Ekirooto mission we call upon the good people out there who can be of help to support the building of Mzee Kaloli’s house. You can reach us on our email info@ekirootomissioncharity.org or Telephone Numbers +256 752 738 177 / 256 781 333 458  for more information

We also have a plan of building a care home to accommodate more volunerable people and the campaign is on going.
